Original Painting "The Muses" 40x50 Oil on Canvas

I had planned this piece to be like a large window one could insert into any wall of a room. I wanted the painting to bring light into every space it inhabits. In the middle of the painting process, I was striken with the mental image of glowing energy beings on the water. Centered around a small void in the middle of the piece, they represent inspiration emerging from stillness in the garden of our minds.
